This photograph one of a series of three that was taken on our recent trip to Ynys Llanddwyn (Llanddwyn Island) at the small beach next to Twr Mawr lighthouse; it’s a fantastic little beach especially when the tide is coming in and driven by a strong wind, the waves come crashing into the beach and the surrounding rocks, which makes for some fantastic photography. There are so many interesting elements that can be utilised at a beach setting and one of my favourites is to find a rock to focus on in the foreground and use varying speeds to capture how the ebb and flow of tide interacts with it. This shot is one such example; you could take five shots at varying speeds and all would be different to each other.
