It’s some time since I was last at South Stack Lighthouse, well actually I didn’t quite get there this time because I thought that I might try to make a photograph with different elements in the composition, other than just the main subject, in that being the lighthouse dominating the scene.
So rather than going up to the lighthouse we followed the coastal path as far away as we could from the lighthouse to see if we could get a shot of some tall cliff face were last light would catch and I could use in the foreground and to lead the eye to the lighthouse, and luckily we did at the last section before the coastal path cuts inland, then it was a case of setting up and waiting for the scene to play out and luckily everything went to according to plan and I was very happy with the end result.
