• I captured this atmospheric shot of Tryfan Mountain at sunset in early October 2021 using a wide-angled lens at 16 mm to include as much of the valley as possible and to portray how Tryfan dominates the surrounding landscape through its sheer size and classic pointed shape.I positioned the camera next Afon Loer, where I could use the tumbling river as a lead into the frame and I kept the shutter speed at half a second to create greater interest in the water flow, which would then lead the eye into the valley and over to the main subject of Tryfan Mountain.
